The laundry room has a washer and a dryer, and is equipped with laundry detergent and bleach.
Entertainment
There is no television reception at the George Walker House, but a VCR and videotapes on birding and other natural history topics (plus a couple of cowboy movies), and an extensive and growing library of field guides, books about Southwestern flora, fauna, history, and culture, and some mindless novels provide a pleasant substitute to the evening news. Several games and puzzles are on the bookshelf as well. The closest source of a local newspaper is the Rodeo Grocery, in Rodeo, New Mexico, fifteen miles from here. USA Today is available at the Portal Store.
Gasoline
The Rodeo Grocery and Rodeo RV usually, but not always, has gas. Otherwise, the closest gas stations are in Douglas and San Simon, Arizona, and in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Please plan accordingly.
